Treasurer

Kathryn Murphy

Hi, my name is Kath Murphy and I live in Tintenbar, a small coastal village on the far north coast of NSW (near Byron Bay). I am married to my wonderful husband Pete and we have four children, Sam (14/3/00), Hannah (02/12/01), Zac (24/10/04) and our angel cherub Jessica (born sleeping 9/09/08).

I found CDH Australia (known as Cherubs Australia then) in 2008 when Jessica was diagnosed with CDH at our 20 week ultrasound. This was a time of much confusion and trauma for our family and this group of amazing people provided me with much needed support and I am honoured to now be part of this wonderful group in my role as treasurer.

Whilst my background employment is in accounting, I am currently undertaking a course to become a marriage and funeral celebrant and very much look forward to completing that some time towards the end of 2010. I enjoy yoga, walking along the beach, reading (when I can find the time) and am always helping out with committees and jobs at my kid’s school.

I don’t know how I would have got through the loss of my beautiful baby girl without the support and comfort of this amazing group and for that I will always be eternally grateful.
